Lisa Kay Malek has joyfully taught piano performance and music theory since 1991. She has a Bachelors of Arts degree from UTSA and is currently working on her masters.
She has instilled the love of the piano in many many students throughout the years. She understands what it takes to connect with the student and what approaches to take to teach piano performance and music theory successfully.

She attends seminars/conferences on a regular basis to keep her teaching skills sharpened. In 2011 she was honored to be a judge for the San Antonio Achievement Auditions and is currently the Recital Coordinator for the San Antonio Music Teachers Association.
Her students are given numerous performance opportunities throughout the year and are involved in the annual TMTA Theory Test held at UTSA. Students also prepare for the National Guild Auditions held in May every year.
