What Allegro Piano Studio students and their parents are saying...

"Our son began taking lessons from 'Miss Lisa' at the age of five. She provided a well-rounded music education program, to include theory, technique and performance. Her approach was individualized and made learning fun. We credit our son's love of music to his early experience with Lisa. In addition to piano, our son now plays various string instruments. He plays in his high school's orchestra, played with YOSA and has received various awards in piano and orchestral music. The confidence that he gained through performing from an early age has been invaluable. Though he plans to pursue studies in biomedical sciences in college, he also plans to further his music education by minoring in music."

"One of the best learning experiences ever. Miss Lisa taught me at my own pace; kept me interested and motivated; was patient but firm. The opportunity to perform in front of an audience gave me a sense of confidence that has carried over to other areas. Learning the piano had a profound effect on me and my love of music. Music will always be a part of what I do."

"My daughter Valeria started taking piano lessons at Allegro Piano Studio at the age of five and continued until her junior year in high school.  As the years went by, she developed a love for music that would continue to this day. In middle school and high school Valeria found it very easy to apply her music knowledge when she played cello and later guitar. Today, Valeria has become a self-learner and enjoys playing piano for family and friends.

In high school, playing piano served Valeria as a way to serve the community. Her senior year she worked as a volunteer at a nursing home where she would share her talents every day with the residents. Valeria found the experience fulfilling and memorable. The first time she did such a thing was at the age of ten under Lisa Malek’s direction.

We will forever be grateful to Lisa and Allegro Piano Studio for all the opportunities she created for Valeria to shine. All the many recitals, theory tests and Guild auditions contributed enormously to form the disciplined and well-rounded character she was going to need to excel as an architecture student at UTSA.

!Gracias Lisa! We wish you many more years shaping talents and inspiring students."

"First I would like to thank you with all my heart for all of the time, energy, thought and care you have invested in my musical and overall life. There is no amount of any tangible thing that could ever, ever repay it. From four years old you have been a guiding path through music which now plays an overwhelming role in my life. Without you, my life would look very different. I am not alone, countless students would say the same. I consider it an honor and blessing to have been under your teachings for so long. Now it is time to move on to different things with an open mind and a thankful heart. As I enter into a new chapter, I will never forget that it was you who God first lead me to.

As I've come to know you and Miss Jayna it has become very clear that you and her care deeply about each and every student in a special way. And have impacted countless lives through music. And I hope to use my gift to impact other lives as well.

Thank you Miss Lisa, for things that the words thank you could never cover."
